The Chengde Mountain Resort is a large complex of palaces and gardens situated in Chengde, Hebei Province, where Qing Emperors used to spend their summer days and handle state affairs. The Mountain Resort features a rich collection of Chinese landscapes and architecture. It has a variety of gardens, temples and palaces, many of whose styles are typical of various regions of China.
I strongly suggest you visit the 72 scenic spots, which were named by the Emperors Kangxi and Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. They are the most famous spots in the Mountain Resort and really worth a visit.
