1. Both Pompeii and Loulan became lost c about 2,000 years ago.
2. Near the city was a volcano called Vesuvius. On 24th August AD 79, the volcano e and lava, ash and rocks poured out of it onto the surrounding countryside.
3. It continued to erupt for the next three days. U , all the people were buried alive, and so was the city.
