Howard Carter is one of the most famous explorers the world has ever known. He was bright and (1) ____ about the world outside his hometown. At the age of 17, he (2)____ ____ ____Alexandria, Egypt. Within seven years, 21 people who had (5) ____ to do with the opening of the tomb died. Lord Carnarvon, who (6) ____ money to Howard Carter and was (7) ____ when the tomb was opened, died of fever, and so did his friend, George Gould.
