Recently there has been a heated discussion among students about whether it’s necessary to have spoken English tests in middle schools.
As far as I know,most of my classmates can read English aloud fluently and only a few of us find it difficult to read long words correctly.Some of them lack confidence when speaking English in public.
I strongly believe that it is necessary to hold a test of spoken English in middle schools because students will have more time and opportunities to practise their listening and speaking in English classes.What’s more,the ability to speak fluent English will bring us a wide variety of chances.We could become successful applicants for some posts by talking directly to experts from English-speaking countries in the future.
