A few years ago，a Thanks giving Day newspaper story told of a school teacher who asked her first graders to 11 a picture of something they were thankful for．She thought of how little these children from 12 neighborhoods actually had to be thankful for．But she knew that most of them would draw pictures of turkeys on tables of 13 ．Suddenly she saw the picture Douglas handed in—a simple childishly drawn hand．

“l think it must be the hand of GOd that brings us food．”said one child．
“A farmer,”said another,“ 15 he grows the turkeys．”
Finally when the others were back at work the teacher 16 Douglas’s desk and asked whose hand it was．
“It’s your hand．Teacher,”he mumbled．
She 17 that frequently at the breaks she had taken Douglas，a small，lonely child，by the hand．She often did that with the children，but it 18 so much to Douglas．Out of all the things he could have been thankful for Thanksgiving，he was most 19 for his teacher’s hand!
Perhaps from this story，we can learn that one of the most important things that you and I can give 20 is a hand that reaches out to them with love．
