Last Tuesday afternoon, I had the pleasure of attending a Thanksgiving party at my daughter's school. The kindergartners were asked to invite a VIP to school at 2:30 pm. The VIP is a very important person in their lives. As I was waiting in the hallway, I got a chance to read what seemed to be posters by the kindergartners with the question "what are you thankful for".
I was amazed by the answers the little ones gave. Some of them were thankful for their grandparents, and others for their friends. I scanned the posters really fast to see the one made by my five-year-old daughter. I wanted to know what my daughter was thankful for. Finally I saw it. On hers, she wrote, "I am thankful for my sisters, my brother, my mom and my dad." Her reply to the question gave me great joy. My daughter was not taking what she has, a family that shows her love, for granted.
