salary, pay, wage
He accepted it, but asked so small a salary that to maintain its own standards the institute had to raise it.
At that time he was teaching maths in a university at a small salary.
The worker’s wages are $8 a week.
He takes his wages to home to his wife every Friday.
Why not join us? You won’t have to worry about rank or pay.
The officer has got an increase in pay.
But I was getting a woman’s pay for doing a man’s job.
