On February 6,1973，Deng Yaping，an excellent table tennis player，was born in Zhengzhou，Henan Province.She began to play table tennis at the age of five，and in 1988 she entered the national team.After retiring from the national team，she went to Cambridge for further study，where she got a doctor's degree in economics through persistent hard work.Though she is short，in her athletic career，she has won 18 world champion titles because of her perseverance and determination，and therefore she is called “Queen of Table Tennis”．
