It is known to all that there are differences between the British and the American sense of humour.The most common difference between them is that the British almost use irony every day while Americans don't.American jokes are always more direct and obvious than British ones because the British culture is more reserved.Nowadays，some American comedies have gained huge success in Britain and vice versa(反之亦然)，which proves that people in these two countries can understand and appreciate the other country's sense of humour very well regardless of the differences between both comic styles.
