3. dress up as + 表身份的名词 装扮成… == > The old woman was dressed as a young lady. 那位老妇人打扮成像个年轻人
dress up in +颜色或衣物 穿…衣服 == > She is dressed up in black today. 她今天穿一身黑衣服
4. condition (pl) (居住/工作的)环境，条件；(影响某事发生的)物质环境，状态 （UC）状态；状况；条件
be in bad/good condition 处于糟糕的/良好的状态 == > He can’t still go for an outing , since he is in poor condition.

5. put/sentence … to death 处死 == > The judges are determined to put the prisoner to death. 法官决定判处这个囚犯死刑
6. devote … to (doing) … 把…奉献给…；专心致力于… (devote后接表时间；精力；生命等名词；to是介词，后接动名词)
== > He has devoted his whole life to helping blind people. 他为帮助盲人献出一生
7. human being 人类 == > How long can a human being go without food ? 人不吃东西能活多久？
辨析：human ：作n，表“人，人类”，只用于与其他动物或神仙相提并论的场合；还可作adj，表“人性的；人类的；人力的”
