教学设计
一、教材分析
通过阅读文章，了解人们通过移动电话发送短信，以及利用各种符号代表文字计表达心情这一现象，回答有关问题。
二、教学目标
1.Guide the students to know about text messages and emoticons and introduce the rules of shortening words by reading comp rehension ; Besides, mak e sure the students can use what they’ve learnt to comm unicate with persons by send ing text messages;
2.Encourage the students to talk about the a dvan tages and disadvantages of the use of these kinds of words and emot icons by comparing the ch anges of Chinese character and English words.
三、教学重难点
1.G et the students to know something about text messages.
2.Get the students to master the i mportant points in the passage.
四、学情分析
学生对网络的话题较感兴趣，应利用这一点，让学生对于他们对于网络的了解展开话题讨论，同时通过预习，课堂训练让学生掌握词汇，短语用法，并能灵活运用。
