When I was 15 months old, I fell and my eye was blinded by a glass rabbit.
People often asked uncomfortable questions about my eye or 16 played jokes on me. When the kids played games, I was always the “ 17 guy.” I 18 imagining that everyone looked down on me. Yet every time Mom noticed I was 19 , she would say to me, “Hold your head up high and face the world.” Those words have meant 20 things to me over the years.
