Are you eager to know about the United Kingdom? The country’s fascinatinglandscapes offer a true feast for your eyes and inspire great poets. But are you puzzled by its several names? Since I visited galleries and approached the local individuals,I’ve known more about its history. In the 16th century, the nearby country of Wales was joinedto the Kingdom of England. Later,Scotlandaswellas Ireland was joined to the country. In the 20th century, the southern part of Ireland announced that it brokeawayfrom the UK, resulting in the full name we have today: the United Kingdom of Great Britain and NorthernIreland.
Belongingto the UK, the four countries use the same flag and share the same currency and militarydefence. However, they have different education systems and legal systems. Almost everywhere you go, you’ll find yourself surrounded by amounts of evidence of four different groups of people who took charge of the land at different times. Studying its history will ensure your visit is much more enjoyable.
