Nowadays, the students in our school take an active part in making less pollution. They join an environment club to work together to make the environment clean. Here are the things students often do in the club.
Rubbish classification: Every citizen has realized that rubbish classification is very necessary. It can save money and the time for a country and improve the quality of our life. Students are asked to sort out recyclable waste before throwing them away. This way, the amount of rubbish will be reduced sharply.
“Clear your plate” competition: How much food do you throw away after lunch? Environment club asks students to take the amount of food they need and eat it up so that there is no food wasted any more. Every week they will choose the classes that make the least garbage and report them to the whole school.
No-car day: On a no-car day, nobody comes to school in a car including the students and the teachers. Cars give pollution to us, so remember: Walk, jump, bike or run! Use your legs! It’s lots of fun!
Turn off the water: Do you know that some toilets can waste twenty to forty cubic meters water an hour? In one year, that would fill in a small river. In the environment club, students are to mend those broken toilets to save water.
Everyone realizes the importance of environment protection and tries their best to cut down the pollution. If you want to do something for the environment, take action right now!
