The Han Dynasty Tomb
Located in Dingtao County of Shandong Province, the Han Dynasty Tomb is the largest timberchambered tomb (木椁墓) in Shandong.The tomb looks like the Chinese character “Jia”.The complicated design and delicate buildings show that it belongs to one of the princes in the Western Han Dynasty.Unfortunately, more than 30 holes dug by robbers have been found in the tomb, and it has lost many of its more valuable relics.Archaeologists have unearthed porcelain, copper, bronze and iron swords.Archaeologists think it may be long to Liu Kang, Prince Gong of the Western Han Dynasty.
The Shimao Ruins
Located in Shenmu County of Shaanxi Province, the Shimao Ruins dates from the late Longshan Period to the Xia Dynasty.The site is a huge stone city covering more than four square kilometers.The Shimao Ruins consists of three parts, including an imperial town, inner and outer cities.The size of the ruins is much larger than similar ruins such as the Liangzhu Ruins and the Taosi Ruins.Many precious relics have been unearthed, including a large number of carved jade and mural (壁画) fragments.
The Liujiazhai Neolithic Site
Located in Jinchuan County of Sichuan Province, the Liujiazhai Neolithic Site can be traced back to the late Neolithic Age.Covering an area of 3,500 square meters, the site hosts a large amount of pottery, animal bones and stone products.The site offers new materials for research on cultural exchanges and communication of the Hengduan Mountain region.
The Hailongtun Fortress Site
Located on Longyan Mountain, about 30 km north of the old city of Zunyi in Guizhou Province, the Hailongtun Fortress Site is the best wellpreserved medieval castle ruins in China.Established in 1257 and destroyed by the war in 1600, it covers an area of 2 square kilometers.It is surrounded by cliffs on all four sides with only one entrance from the mountain road.It is the site to show the development of the Tusi System and the unique architecture features.
