Our school, located close to the beautiful Caribbean Coast and Bay Islands, is badly in need of volunteers for the 2019-2020 school year. While we can’ t offer you any pay, the rewards for teaching here come from the life-changing contributions our teachers make to our wonderful kids’ lives and the opportunity to serve an amazing community in a beautiful part of the world.
Please take a moment to read the introduction of our school and then visit our website to see volunteers' comments on how they feel about the contribution they make to the community we serve. If you are interested in volunteering, please visit our website www. cofradiaschool. com and send an email to volunteer@cofradiaschool. com if you have any questions to ask.
Cofradia Bilingual(双语的) School is a small school. We offer a high-quality bilingual education to over 300 students from kindergarten to Grade 11. Our students receive a bilingual education from native English speakers. Graduating as English speakers provides our students with many opportunities to find jobs. Many of our students come from very poor families and a bilingual education gives them the ability to end the cycle of poverty for their family. Our graduates are encouraged to build a brighter future for themselves, their community, and their country.
All the classes are given in English, so Spanish-language skills are not required. Similarly, teaching experience is not required to work at CBS. We are finding English teachers for kids (ages 4-5) through 11th Grade (ages 16-17). The CBS school year goes from middle September 2019 to July 2020. English teachers may also teach Math (Grade One only), Science, and Physical Education. Our teachers work Monday-Friday from 7: 00 am-2: 10 pm.
While teaching at our school is completely voluntary, accommodation(住宿) and two meals a day during the week are provided.
