a. The negative words and expressions that appear in the reading material, such as: never, nothing, gone, no, useless and burst.
b. The declarative sentences, such as “Never before in history has a city been so completely destroyed”. P65
c. Parallelism sentences (排比句) ：A list of buildings undestroyed was now only a few addresses. A list of the brave men and women would fill a library. A list of all those killed will never be made. P65
